Docflow Settings
This section consists of 5 parts. Below is the first — document numbering rules.
Document Numbering Rules
Automatic document numbering assigns registration numbers according to defined rules. This ensures a uniform format, eliminates manual entry, and prevents duplicates.
How it works:
- The feature is configured separately for each document type.
- When a document is created, the system identifies its type and checks whether auto-numbering is enabled.
- If enabled — the number is generated automatically according to the defined pattern.
- If disabled — the number is entered manually.
The generated number is created according to a single rule and is unique.
How to Open Auto-Numbering Settings
- Go to Workspace Settings.
- Open the "Docflow Settings" section.
- Select "Document Auto-Numbering Rules".
How to Create a Rule
- Click "Create rule" or open an existing one.
- Select the document type.
- Add and arrange pattern elements in the required order.
- Configure the parameters for the "Number" element.
- Specify a reset period if needed.
- Check the number preview.
- Click "Save".
